Private Services

KH Speech and Language Therapy service provides assessment and therapy for children and young people aged 3–19 years.

With experience working with children and young people in a range of settings, including mainstream schools, specialist provisions, clinics, and the community, support is tailored to meet each child’s individual communication needs, strengths, and interests. Therapy may include individual sessions, group work, and collaborative support with families, schools, and other professionals.

Support is available for a range of speech, language, and communication needs, including:
• Speech sound difficulties
• Receptive language (understanding language)
• Expressive language (using language)
• Social communication and interaction
• Attention, listening, and working memory

A child-centred and evidence-based approach is at the heart of the service, with therapy designed to be engaging, practical, and meaningful for each child. The aim is to help children and young people develop their communication skills, build confidence, and feel more able to participate in the things that matter to them — whether that is at home, in school, or in the wider community.

Working closely with families, schools, and other professionals helps to ensure that therapy goals are realistic, personalised, and focused on making a difference in everyday life. Every child has their own unique way of communicating, and the focus is on supporting them to develop their voice and communicate with confidence.
